I put in a good effort but the cards didn't go my way after day one...

I had another strange hand last night with about 15 minutes to play on the night...

I'm trying my best, but am not happy about the last call I just made for 7000 in the last round...

I've been pretty pessimistic about my mother's recovery, until yesterday...

She's not doing so well and has yet to wake up from the surgery that happened 20 hours ago. That's a very bad sign...

My mother got through her first surgery and is now scheduled to have open heart surgery on Monday. If all goes well, she'll be as good as new.

She recently had a stroke as well as a mild heart attack and is still in the hospital here in Las Vegas...
